Pry Out Front Edge of Housing
This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the seventh generation (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & possibly also the revised 2015) Dodge Charger sedan in changing a burnt out rear side marker bulb located in a housing on the back quarter panel.

Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge and RAM vehicles such as the Town & Country, 300, 200, Avenger, Challenger, Journey, Dart, Durango, Grand Caravan, and Ram C/V Tradesman minivan may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A replacement rear side marker bulb is part number 168 which is available from manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, Eiko and PIAA.

You may also be able to use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the # W5W, 2825, 158, 194 or a compatible LED unit.

The only tool needed to replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry out the light housing.

1/4 Turn Counterclockwise
To prevent from scratching the plastic lens of the side marker or the painted metal rear quarter panel, you may choose to cover the tip of your screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth.

Insert the blade of the small flathead screwdriver in between the front edge of the light housing and the quarter panel.

Gently pry out the plastic retaining clip and remove the light housing.

Rotate the grey plastic light bulb socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise before removing it from the housing.
