Chrysler 200 Front Side Marker Light Bulb Replacement Guide
How to change a burnt out side marker light bulb in the front quarter panel of a 2015, 2016 and 2017 Chrysler 200.

Remove Top Screw
This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the second generation 2015, 2016 and 2017 Chrysler 200 sedan in changing a burnt out front side marker light bulb located in the front bumper cover.

Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM or Fiat vehicles such as the 300, Pacifica, Town & Country, Avenger, Charger, Challenger, Journey, Dart, Durango, Magnum, Grand Caravan, Fiat 500, Fiat 124 Spider, Grand Cherokee, Renegade, Wrangler, Compass, Liberty, Patriot, ProMaster, 1500 and C/V Tradesman minivan may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A compatible replacement miniature wedge base light bulb is part number 2821 (or W3W). You can also use a brighter LED unit.

The tools needed to access and replace the side marker light bulb include an 8mm socket and a 1/4" drive ratchet.

Remove 3rd Lower Screw

Three Screws Removed

Pull Back Wheel Well Liner
Locate the three screws along the front edge of the black plastic wheel well liner near the side marker bulb housing.

Remove the three screws by turning them counterclockwise with an 8mm socket and a 1/4" drive ratchet.

Set the three screws aside in a safe place.

Gently pull back the black plastic wheel well liner to access the rear of the light housing.

Bulb Socket Removed

Old Light Bulb Removed
Rotate the black and white plastic bulb socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the housing.

Pull the old light bulb straight out of the socket.

1/4 Turn Clockwise - Lock

Replace Wheel Well Liner

Push a new number 2821 (also known as the # W3W) light bulb straight in to the socket.

If you would like to have brighter side marker lights, install a compatible 2821 LED bulb.

Re-insert the bulb socket in to the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place.

Push the black plastic wheel well liner (or "splash guard") back into place.

Spin In 3 Screws

Tighten Clockwise

Side Marker Bulb Replaced
Replace the three 8mm screws and tighten them in the clockwise direction until they are snug.

To test the new side marker light bulbs, turn on the headlights or press the "Unlock" button on the key fob to activate the exterior lights.
