This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the second generation 2015, 2016 and 2017 Chrysler 200 sedan in changing a burnt out license plate light bulb or upgrading them both to brighter LED bulbs.

Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM or Fiat vehicles such as the 300, Pacifica, Town & Country, Avenger, Charger, Challenger, Journey, Dart, Durango, Magnum, Grand Caravan, Fiat 500, Fiat 124 Spider, Grand Cherokee, Renegade, Wrangler, Compass, Liberty, Patriot, ProMaster, 1500 and C/V Tradesman minivan may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The compatible replacement miniature wedge base light bulb part number is 2825 (also known as # W5W).

The only tool needed to access and replace the license plate light bulbs is a standard Phillips head screwdriver.

Be careful when you remove the old light bulb.

If the light bulb was recently turned on, it might still be hot enough to burn your fingers.
