blades on a sixth generation 2010 to 2014 Ford Taurus sedan with pictures.

Rotate Blade At Angle |
This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the 6th generation (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Ford
Taurus sedan in changing the front windshield window wiper blades. Owners of other Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles with similar windshield wipers such as the Fiesta, Fusion, Focus, C-Max, Mustang, Escape, Transit Connect, Explorer, Edge, Expedition, Flex, MKS, MKZ, MKT, MKX, Navigator, Milan, Grand Marquis, Mariner and Mountaineer may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. Replacement wiper blade sizes in inches are as follows: Driver Side 26" and Passenger Side 20". A few compatible wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Bosch 26OE & Bosch 20OE, Michelin 8526 & Michelin 8520, Rain-X 5079281-1 & Rain-X 5079277-1, Trico 25-260 & Trico 25-200 and Anco C-26-OE & ANCO C-20-OE. No tools are needed to change the wiper blades. |

Squeeze Tabs Together |
Swing Out Old Wiper Blade |
Pull Blade Off Metal Hook |
The first step is
to lift the wiper arm off the windshield until it stays in the up position
by itself. Place a towel on the windshield to protect it from cracking or chipping just in case the wiper arm smacks down on the glass. Rotate the old wiper blade at a slight angle away from the metal wiper arm. Squeeze together the two "wing" shaped tabs on the wiper blade's mounting bracket and swing the blade away from the arm. Lift the wiper blade off the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm. |

Towel Protect Glass |
Line Up New Wiper Blade |
Insert Metal Hook In Slot |
I always buy the
Bosch 26OE and
Bosch 20OE wiper blades since they
have excellent reviews on Amazon. Line up the mounting bracket at the center of the new wiper blade with the end of the wiper arm. Lower the slot on the new wiper blade over the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm. |
||
Pinch Two "Wing" Tabs |
Insert Tabs In To Mount |
Lower Wiper Arm To Glass |
Swing the wiper
blade towards the metal wiper arm. Squeeze together the two tabs and insert them in to the wiper arm to secure the new blade in place. Lower the wiper arm back down to the windshield. For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the windshield and applying a window treatment product such as Rain-X. For more, please check out my other
