This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the first generation (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016) GMC Acadia in changing a burnt out dual filament combination low / high beam bulb, front turn signal or side marker light bulbs in the headlight housings.

Owners of other General Motors vehicles such as the Buick Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Cascada, Encore, Enclave, Envision, GMC Canyon, Sierra 1500, Terrain, Yukon, Denali, Savana, Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Volt, Camaro, Corvette, SS, Trax, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Colorado, Silverado and Express may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The only tool needed to access and replace the bulbs is a Torx T20 star bit screwdriver.

The replacement bulb part numbers are as follows: Low / High Beam Headlight # 9012, Front Turn Signal # 7444NA and Front Side Marker # 194NA.

3rd Wheel Well Screw
The first step is to turn the steering wheel all the way in the opposite direction of the burnt out headlight bulb.

Turning the front wheels will create more working room in the wheel well to access the bulbs through the wheel well liner or "splash guard".

Remove the four screws that secure the outer edge of the black plastic wheel well liner in place by turning them counterclockwise with a Torx T20 star bit screwdriver.
