Third Brake Light Bulb Replacement Guide
How to replace the third or high mount brake light bulb on an 8th generation 2006 to 2011 Honda Civic with pictures.
|To remove the
bulb's socket from the third brake light housing, rotate it 1/4 turn counter
clockwise and pull it straight out.
Then pull the old # 7440 bulb straight out from the socket and push in a new bulb.
If you would like a brighter third brake light, buy one of the 7440 LED bulbs.
Insert the new bulb and socket back into the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place.
Test the new bulb by having someone step on the brakes.
