This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the third generation (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010) Honda Odyssey minivan in changing a burnt out low beam, high beam, front turn signal or side marker light bulb in the headlight housings.

Owners of other Honda or Acura vehicles such as the Accord, Civic, Crosstour, CR-V, CR-Z, HR-V, Fit, Element, Insight, Pilot, Ridgeline, Clarity, Crosstour, Elysion, ILX, TSX, TLX, TL, RLX, RDX, NSX and MDX may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The compatible replacement light bulb part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # 9006, High Beam # 9005, Front Turn Signal # 7440A (or WY21W) and Front Side Maker # 168.

No tools are required to replace any of the bulbs on either the driver or passenger side.

A pair of large pliers may be useful to remove a stubborn old low beam or high beam bulb.

The first two steps are to open the hood and then move to the side of the minivan with the burnt out headlight bulb.

For better access to the low beam bulb on the passenger side, you'll need to lift the power steering fluid reservoir out of the way.

Pull the power steering fluid reservoir up to detach it from its mounting bracket.

Gently rest the PS fluid reservoir next to the windshield washer fluid filler tube.

The low beam bulb is located near the outer edge of the headlight assembly.

Reach in behind the headlight housing and push in the release tab on the electrical connector before sliding it straight off the base of the old low beam bulb.
