Hyundai Santa
Fe Cargo Area Light Bulb Replacement Guide
How to replace the rear cargo area's
overhead light bulb in a 2007 to 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with pictures.
This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 2nd generation 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV in replacing
the rear cargo area overhead light bulb. Owners of other similar Hyundai or Kia vehicles such as the Tucson, Veracruz, Sorento, Sportage and Sedona may also find this guide to be helpful. A new light bulb for the cargo / trunk area of a Hyundai Santa Fe is part # DE3175 from Sylvania, Phillips, GE, Eiko and other manufacturers. You can also use a brighter DE3175 LED bulb. The only tool needed to replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver. Open the rear tailgate of the Santa Fe and climb into the cargo area. Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry out the clear plastic lens cover. |
||
|
||
To prevent any
damage to the cargo area light housing or the clear plastic lens cover,
cover the blade of the screwdriver with a thin cloth before inserting it
into the notch near the on/off switch. Pull out the old DE 3175 light bulb with your thumb and forefinger or pop it out with the flathead screwdriver. |
||
|
||
Push in a new #
DE3175 bulb into the cargo area light socket and test it by moving the
switch to the "On" position. If you are installing an LED bulb and it doesn't work at first, try flipping it around in the socket. |
||
Line up the clear
plastic lens cover over the housing and gently snap it into place. Move the
light switch to the "Door" setting so that it will automatically turn on
when the rear tailgate door is opened. For more,
