This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 6th generation (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Hyundai Sonata in
replacing a burnt out overhead map light bulb or installing brighter
LED bulbs. Owners of other Hyundai or Kia vehicles such as the Elantra, Accent, Veloster, Tucson, Santa Fe, Veracruz, Genesis, Forte, Optima, Rio, Soul, Sedona, Sorento, Tiburon and Sportage may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement overhead map light bulb is part # DE3175 or 3175 from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, Eiko, Philips, GE and PIAA. You can also use a brighter DE3175 LED unit. The only tool needed to replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver. Use the blade of the flathead screwdriver to gently pry out the map light bulb's translucent lens cover. |
