The 2011
Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival was held on Friday April 29th
through Sunday May 1st along Centre Street in historic downtown
Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island.
This was the 48th occurrence of this free family friendly event that traditionally takes place on the first weekend in May each year. Mark your calendars for the 49th annual Shrimp Festival, which is scheduled for Friday May 4th through Sunday May 6th, 2012. To reach the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival using your GPS unit, set it for 102 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Parking fees at nearby businesses start at just $5 and increase as you get closer to downtown. Although dining upon shrimp and seafood is the main focus of the festival, there are also almost a hundred artist booths where visitors can purchase fine art, paintings, pottery, sculptures, antiques, jewelry and various other crafts. |
