This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the first generation (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and possibly also the 2019 and 2020 model years) Jeep Renegade SUV in changing the front windshield window wiper blades.

Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM or Fiat vehicles such as the 200, 300, Pacifica, Town & Country, Avenger, Charger, Challenger, Journey, Dart, Durango, Magnum, Grand Caravan, Fiat 500 500X or 500L, Fiat 124 Spider, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Compass, Liberty, Patriot, ProMaster, 1500 and C/V Tradesman minivan may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The OEM wiper blade sizes in inches are as follows: Driver Side 22" and Passenger Side 20".

A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Bosch ICON 22OE & Bosch ICON 20OE, Rain-X 5079279-2 & Rain-X 5079277-2, Michelin 8022 & Michelin 8020, Trico Force 25-220 & Trico Force 25-200, PIAA 97055 & PIAA 97050 and Silblade FB122 & Silblade FB120.

No tools are required to remove and replace the wiper blades.

Pull Off Old Wiper Blade
The first step is to lift the wiper arm off the windshield window until it remains in the raised position by itself.

Locate the small square shaped wiper blade release button near the end of the metal wiper arm.

Firmly push in the release button with your finger to unlock the old wiper blade.

Slide the old wiper blade out of the mounting bracket and away from the windshield.

Place a towel on the windshield to protect the glass from being shattered, cracked, chipped or scratched just in case the metal wiper arm smacks down on to the window while you are replacing the wiper blade.

I recommend buying the Bosch ICON 22OE & Bosch ICON 20OE windshield wiper blades since they have excellent reviews on Amazon.

Slide the plastic adapter on the new wiper blade into the metal mounting bracket at the end of the wiper arm.

Continue pushing the new wiper blade into the wiper arm mount until you hear or feel it "click" securely in place.

Double check that the new wiper blade is secure by pulling on it.

Gently lower the wiper arm and new wiper blade down to the windshield.

I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the windshield window and applying a glass treatment product that will repel water such as Rain-X.
