How to change a low beam, high beam or front turn signal light bulb in the headlights of a 2010 to 2015 Kia Sorento.

This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the second generation (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015) Kia Sorento SUV in changing a burnt out low beam, high beam or front turn signal light bulb in the headlight assemblies.

Owners of other Kia and Hyundai vehicles such as the Optima, Forte, Cadenza, K900, Rio, Sportage, Sedona, Soul, Elantra, Veloster, Sonata, Azera, Tucson, Santa Fe, Genesis and Equus may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

Replacement bulbs for the 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 Sorento models with their part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # H1 and Front Turn Signal # 2357NA.

Replacement bulbs for the 2014 & 2015 Sorento model years are as follows: Low Beam # 64210L (H7U), High Beam # 64210L (H7U) and Front Turn Signal # 2357NA.

No tools are needed to change any of the light bulbs in either the driver or passenger side headlight housings.

Rotate 1/4 Turn Counterclockwise
The Low Beam bulb is located near the center of the headlight assembly.

Reach in behind the headlight housing and rotate the round black plastic dust cover 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it.

Set the dust cap aside in a safe place.

Rotate the black plastic power plug and the base of the old low beam bulb 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the socket.

Disconnect Plug & H7U Bulb
Disconnect the electrical connector from the base of the old low beam bulb.

Insert New 64210L (H7U) Bulb

Twist On Dust Cover
Try to avoid touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or anything greasy in the engine bay.

If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with a paper towel moistened with rubbing alcohol.

Attach a new low beam bulb to the electrical connector, re-insert it in to the socket and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place.

The 2010-2013 Sorento model years use a # H11 low beam headlight bulb.

The 2014 and 2015 Sorento model years instead are equipped with a # 64210L bulb which is also known as an H7 or H7U.

Replace the plastic dust cover by rotating it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction.

High Beam Bulb & Plug
The High Beam bulb is located near the inner edge of the headlight housing.

Rotate the round black plastic dust cover 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it and access the old high beam bulb.

Disconnect Power Plug
Rotate the electrical connector and the base of the old high beam bulb 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the base of the old high beam bulb.

Push Plug On New H7U Bulb

1/4 Turn Clockwise - Lock
Avoid touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or anything greasy in the engine bay.

If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with an alcohol moistened paper towel.

Push the power plug on to the base of a new high beam bulb, re-insert it in to the socket and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place.

The 2010-2013 Sorento model years are equipped with # H1 high beam bulbs.

The 2014 and 2015 Sorento model years have # 64210L high beam bulbs, which are also known as # H7 or H7U bulbs.

1/4 Turn Counterclockwise
Replace the plastic dust cover over the high beam bulb by rotating it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction.

The Front Turn Signal light bulb is located near the outer edge of the headlight housing.

Rotate the base of the grey bulb socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the housing.

Test New Headlight Bulbs

Testing High Beam Bulb
Push the old turn sign bulb down in to the socket and rotate it 1/4 turn counterclockwise before pulling it straight out of the socket.

Push a new amber colored # 2357NA or 2357A bulb down in to the socket and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place.

Re-insert the socket in to the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to lock it in place.

Test the new bulbs by turning on the headlights, activating the hazard signals and flashing the high beams.
