This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the second generation (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 &
2015) Kia Sorento SUV in changing the rear wiper blade on the back
tailgate door. Owners of other Kia and Hyundai vehicles such as the Optima, Forte, Cadenza, K900, Rio, Sportage, Sedona, Soul, Elantra, Veloster, Sonata, Azera, Tucson, Santa Fe, Genesis and Equus may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The rear window wiper blade is 11" (inches) in size. A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers include the following: Trico 11-A, Michelin 9511, Bosch H281, Anco AR-11A, Rain-X 850003 R11A, ACDelco 8-211A, and AutoTex AP-R11. No tools are needed to change the rear wiper blade. |

Lift Wiper Arm Off Window |
Rotate Blade At Angle |
Pop Off Old Wiper Blade |
The first step is
pull the plastic cover off the base of the wiper arm. Set the plastic cover aside in a safe place. Lift the wiper arm off the rear window until it remains in the raised position by itself. Rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm at a slight angle. Continue rotating the old wiper blade until you can pop the mounting bar in the center of the blade out of the "C" socket at the end of the wiper arm. |

Mounting Bar - Center Blade |
I recommend buying
the Trico 11-A rear wiper blade
since it has excellent reviews on Amazon. Line up the mounting bar in the center of the new wiper blade with the "C" socket at the end of the wiper arm. |

Line Up Bar & "C" Socket |
Pop Bar In To "C" Socket |
Rotate Blade Parallel To Arm |
Firmly pop the
mounting bar in to the "C" socket. Rotate the new wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. |

New Blade Installed |
Lower Arm To Window |
Replace Plastic Cover On Base |
Gently lower the
wiper arm back down to the rear window.
For the best wiper performance, I'd recommend thoroughly cleaning off the rear windshield and applying a window treatment product such as Rain-X or Zaino Glass Polish. For more,
