Light Housing Removed
This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the third generation (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017) Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in changing a burnt out front side marker light bulb in the front quarter panel.

Owners of other Mitsubishi vehicles such as the Lancer, Outlander, Mirage, ASX, RVR, Galant, I-MIEV, Montero, Eclipse, 3000GT, Endeavor, Raider, Diamante, Attrage, Carisma, Colt, Grandis, Magna, Pajero and the Space Star may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

Sylvania lists the replacement light bulb as being part number 2825 or W5W but the OEM bulb is non-replaceable and you'll have to buy the entire housing.

There are a few Mitsubishi Side Marker light housings available on Amazon such as the Depo 214-1429N-AE and the AutoLightsBulbs 8351A001.

The only tool needed to remove the side marker housing is a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool.

Plug In New Light Housing
To prevent from scratching the painted surfaces, either use a plastic pry bar tool or cover a flathead screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth.

Insert the plastic pry bar tool in between the front edge of the side marker light housing and the painted metal front quarter panel.

Gently pry out the light housing and remove it from the quarter panel.

Press the release tab on the electrical connector before sliding the power plug straight out of the socket.

You might be able to buy a new side marker light housing at your Mitsubishi dealership or online at Amazon. Two compatible part numbers are the Depo 214-1429N-AE and the AutoLightsBulbs 8351A001.

Push the power plug on to the new light housing.

Re-insert the plastic tab on the front edge first and then gently pop in the retaining clip on the rear edge of the housing.

To test the new side marker light bulb housing, turn on the headlights and activate the hazard signals.
