This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the fourth generation (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015)
Hyundai Accent in changing the rear windshield window wiper blade. Owners of other Hyundai or Kia SUV, minivan or hatchback vehicles such as the Tucson, Elantra, Lavita, Veracruz, Santa Fe, ix20, i20, ix35, Forte, Rio, Soul, Sedona, Sorento and Sportage may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The OEM rear window wiper blade size is 11 inches. A few other compatible replacement 11" wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Trico 11-A, Valeo R11C, Denso 160-5511 and Goodyear # 728HYAC12R11A. No tools are needed to replace the rear window wiper blade. |

Continue Rotating Blade |
Pop Blade Off Wiper Arm |
Mounting Bar - Center Blade |
The first step is
to lift the rear wiper blade off the back window until it remains in the
raised position by itself. Rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm. Continue rotating the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm until the mounting bar pops out of the "C" shaped socket. |

"C" Shaped Socket |
Line Up New Wiper Blade |
Mounting Bar & Socket |
I'd recommend
buying the Trico 11-A wiper
blade since it has the best reviews on Amazon. Line up the mounting bar in the center of the new wiper blade with the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. Hold the new wiper blade near the wiper arm with the rubber blade facing away from the tailgate door. |
||
Insert Bar In To Socket |
Rotate Blade Parallel To Arm |
Lower Wiper To Window |
Push the mounting
bar in to the socket. Rotate the new wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. Gently lower the wiper assembly down to the window. For the best wiper performance, I'd recommend thoroughly cleaning off the rear windshield and applying a window treatment product such as Rain-X or Zaino Bros Glass Polish. For more,
