Raise Wiper Arm
This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the fourth generation (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015) Hyundai Accent in changing the windshield window wiper blades.

Owners of other Hyundai or Kia vehicles such as the Tucson, Elantra, Sonata, Azera, Veloster, Tiburon, Genesis, Lavita, Veracruz, Santa Fe, ix20, i20, ix35, Fluidic Verna, Equus, Cadenza, Forte, Optima, Rio, Soul, Sedona, Sorento, Spectra and Sportage may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The blade sizes in inches are as follows: Driver Side 26" and Passenger Side 16".

A few compatible replacement blades with their part numbers are as follows: Trico 18-260 & Trico 18-160, Bosch 26-CA & Bosch 16-CA, Rain-X 5079281-1 & Rain-X 5079274-1, Michelin 8526 & 8516, Anco 31-26 & Anco 31-16, and Valeo 600-26 & Valeo 600-16.

Slide Off Plastic Bracket
The first step is to lift the wiper arm off the windshield until it remains in the raised position by itself.

Rotate the old wiper blade away from the arm at a slight angle.

Press in the small black plastic release tab at the center of the wiper blade mounting bracket.

Slide the old blade down off the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm.

Towel - Protect Windshield
Continue rotating the old wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm.

Pass the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm through the opening in the center of the old wiper blade.

Place a towel down on the windshield to protect the glass from being chipped, cracked or scratched just in case the metal wiper arm smacks down on the window.

I would recommend buying the Bosch 26-CA and Bosch 16-CA wiper blades since they have the best reviews on Amazon.

Lower Wiper Arm To Window
Slide the plastic bracket at the end of the new wiper blade up in to the metal hook until it clicks securely in place.

Gently lower the wiper arm down to the windshield.

For the best wiper performance, thoroughly clean off the windshield with a window treatment product such as Rain-X or Zaino Glass Polish.
