Cargo Area Light Bulb Replacement Guide
How to change a burnt out cargo area or
"trunk" light bulb in a 2nd generation 2014 to 2018 Nissan Rogue SUV.

| This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the second generation 2014, 2015, 2016 and the facelifted
2017 or 2018 model year Nissan Rogue SUV in changing a burnt out
cargo area (or "trunk") light bulb. Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Murano, Altima, Titan, Versa, Sentra, Maxima, Leaf, 370Z, GT-R, Juke, Pathfinder, Armada, Patrol, Skyline, Cube, X-Trail, Xterra, Qashqai, Rogue Sport, NV200, NV400, Teana, Q50, Q70, Q60, QX30, QX50, QX56, QX60, QX70 and QX80 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A compatible replacement "festoon" style light bulb is part number DE3175 which is available from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, Eiko and PIAA. You can also use a brighter LED unit. The only tool needed to access and replace the light bulb is a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool. |

| To prevent from
scratching the plastic surfaces, you may choose to either use a plastic
pry bar tool or cover the tip of
your screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth. Insert the blade of the tool in to the small notch on the top edge of the light housing. Gently pry out the top edge of the housing and pull it out of the cargo area panel. Pull open the hinged grey plastic cover. The cover opens from the side closest to the power socket. |

| Be careful when you
remove the old light bulb. If the old light bulb was recently turned on, it might still be hot enough to burn your fingers. Gently pull the old light bulb out of the socket. |

 Push In Power Plug |
| Push a new number
DE3175 festoon bulb straight in
to the socket. If you want to have a brighter cargo area light, you can use a DE3175 LED bulb instead of a traditional incandescent. Tip - If you installed an LED light bulb and it doesn't work, it might be a polarized bulb. Try removing it, flipping it 180 degrees and pushing it back in to the socket. |

 Test New Cargo Light Bulb |
| First re-insert the
wires and the bottom edge of the light housing back in to the plastic cargo
area panel. Then gently snap in the retaining clip on the top edge of the housing. If the new light bulb didn't turn on immediately when you pushed in the power plug, open and close the tailgate door or press the "Unlock" button on the key fob to re-activate the interior lights.
