generation 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 Mazda CX-9 SUV in changing
a burnt out vanity mirror light bulb located in the sun visor. Owners of other Mazda vehicles such as the CX-5, CX-3, CX-30, MX-30, CX-8, Mazda8 (MPV), MX-5 Miata, Mazda2 (Demio), Mazda3 (Axela), Mazda6 (Atenza) and Mazda5 (Premacy) may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A few compatible replacement miniature fuse style light bulbs with their part numbers include the following: TS-14V1CP, 6614F and ACDelco 13502343. If you would like to upgrade both of the vanity mirror light bulbs, install some brighter TS-14V1CP LED bulbs. The only tool needed to access and replace the light bulbs is a very small flat head screwdriver such as from a precision screwdriver set or a small plastic pry bar tool. The first two steps are to swing down the sun visor away from the headliner and slide open the plastic mirror cover. |

If you'd like to have brighter vanity light bulbs, install some compatible replacement TS-14V1CP LED units. The new light bulb should turn on immediately. Tip - If you installed an LED bulb and it doesn't work, try removing it from the socket, rotating it 180 degrees and pushing it back into the socket. Some LED bulbs are "polarized" and will only work when the "+" positive and "-" negative electrical contacts are in the correct orientation. |

Line Up Plastic Tabs |
Gently Pop In Lens Cover |
Testing New Light Bulb |
If the light bulb
doesn't turn on, try sliding the mirror cover closed and open it again. Or
try pressing the "Unlock" button on the key fob to re-activate the interior
lights. Line up the translucent plastic lens cover with the two further spaced out retaining tabs on the outer edge of the light housing. The edge with two retaining tabs that are very close together should be on the inner edge of the housing close to the mirror. Gently pop the lens cover back into place. Try to avoid using excessive force. The lens cover should pop in relatively easily. Make sure the lens cover is securely in place with every edge flush with the light housing. Don't forget to write down the bulb change in your vehicle's service records. For more,
