This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the sixth generation 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and the refreshed or "facelifted" 2023 and 2024 Nissan Altima sedan in changing a burnt out vanity mirror light bulb located in the sun visor or upgrading them both to brighter LED units.

Owners of other Nissan, Infiniti or related Renault vehicles such as the Rogue, X-Trail, Note, Versa, Rogue Sport / Qashqai, Maxima, Sentra, Juke, Kicks, Murano, Pathfinder, Armada, Frontier, Titan, Quest, NV200, Q50, Q60, QX50, QX60 and QX80 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A few compatible replacement miniature "festoon" style light bulbs with their part numbers are as follows: TS-14V1CP, 6614F and ACDelco 13502343.

If you'd like to have brighter vanity mirror lights, install some TS-14V1CP LED units.

The tools needed to access and replace the bulbs include a small flat head screwdriver such as from a precision screwdriver set or a small plastic pry bar tool.

The first two steps are to flip down the sun visor and open the plastic mirror cover.

Lens Cover Removed
Carefully insert the blade of the small flat head screwdriver in between the edge of the lens cover and the light housing.

Do NOT place the screwdriver near the mirror!

Gently pry off the lens cover to release the retaining clips.

You may need to remove and reinsert the screwdriver in several places to release all of the clips.

Try to avoid using excessive force. The lens cover should pop off relatively easily.

Old Light Bulb Removed
Use the small flat head screwdriver to gently pry out one of the metal end caps of the old light bulb.

Do NOT apply pressure to the glass part of the bulb to prevent from having it shatter.

Wear gloves or allow the old bulb to cool off before touching it.

Line Up Lens Cover
Insert a new TS-14V1CP light bulb into the socket.

If the new bulb is working properly, it should light up immediately.

Tip - If you installed LED bulbs and they don't work, try removing them from the sockets, rotate them 180 degrees and push them back into place. Some LED bulbs are "polarized" and will only work when the "+" positive and "-" negative electrical contacts are in the correct orientation.
