This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the sixth generation 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and the revised or "face lifted" 2023 and 2024 Nissan Altima sedan in changing the front windshield window wiper blades.

Owners of other Nissan, Infiniti or related Renault vehicles such as the Rogue, X-Trail, Note, Versa, Rogue Sport / Qashqai, Maxima, Sentra, Juke, Kicks, Murano, Pathfinder, Armada, Frontier, Titan, Quest, NV200, Q50, Q60, QX50, QX60 and QX80 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The OEM (original equipment manufacturer) wiper blade sizes in inches are as follows: Driver Side 26" and Passenger Side 17".

A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Trico Gold 26" & 17", Bosch Icon 26A & 17A, Aero Voyager 26" & 17" and Motium 26" & 17" wiper blade set.

No tools are needed to remove and replace the windshield wiper blades.

The step is to raise the wiper arm off the window.

Then rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm until you can see the small black plastic release tab.

Line Up New Blade
Place a towel on the windshield to protect the glass from being chipped, scratched, cracked or shattered just in case the metal wiper arm smacks down on to the window while you are replacing the wiper blade.

Line up the plastic mounting brack at the center of the new wiper blade with the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm.

I've always preferred buying the Bosch Icon 26A & 17A wiper blades since they have excellent reviews on Amazon from other Nissan owners.

Slide the mounting bracket up into the metal hook until it "clicks" securely into place.

Double check that the new wiper blade is securely attached to the wiper arm.

Gently lower the wiper blade back down to the windshield.

For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the windshield and applying a glass treatment product such as Rain-X which will help repel water from the glass.

Don't forget to write down the wiper replacement in your vehicle's service records.
