The Chicago
Botanic Garden is located about 20 miles north of downtown Chicago at
1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe IL 60022.
Admission into this attraction is complimentary but parking costs $20 per vehicle. Members are allowed to park for free with membership fees starting at $70 per year. We visited during spring time in late May when the sun was shining and the temperature was in the mid 70's. Unfortunately, we only had about an hour to walk around the grounds and only saw a few of the main areas. The Chicago Botanic Garden covers 385 acres of lush land with 23 display gardens, 3 natural preserve areas, several greenhouses and various seasonal displays throughout the year. Visitors are welcome on the grounds from 8 AM to sunset every day of the year except for December 25th. |
