The Ducati 748 shares the same body shape as the legendary Ducati 916 motorcycle which was designed by Massimo Tamburini. Massimo gifted the Ducati 748 & 916 line of sport bikes with a beautiful single sided swing arm, under seat exhaust pipes and aerodynamic yet seductive body work. Many fans of Ducati motorcycles were captivated while watching Carl Fogarty, Troy Corser, and Troy Bayliss dominate the World Superbike series of races.

Equipped with a high output 749cc 90 degree v-twin two cylinder engine, the Ducati 748 can rocket through the 6 speed chain driven transmission to reach speeds over 160mph. The "R" or "Racing" version of the Duck 748 swapped in lighter wheels, carbon fiber fairings, a more potent tuned motor, strong Brembo brakes and a race ready suspension.
