This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the "new" Type 312 (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015) Fiat 500 hatchback supermini car in changing a burnt out front side marker light bulb located in the bumper cover.

Owners of other Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM vehicles such as the 4C, Giulia, 200, 300, Town & Country, Challenger, Charger, Dart, Durango, Journey, Grand Caravan, Compass, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Renegade, Cherokee, Patriot, 1500, C/V Tradesman and ProMaster may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A replacement front side marker light bulb is part number W3W or 2821. You may also be able to use any miniature wedge base bulbs such as # 168, W5W, 2825, 194 or an LED unit.

No tools are needed to access and replace the light bulb.

The first step is to turn the steering wheel all the way to the opposite direction of the burnt out side marker.

Turning the front wheels will allow more working room for you to access the bulb socket.

Gently push back the retaining clip before pulling out the rectangular black plastic access panel in the wheel well liner or "splash guard".

Set the access cover aside in a safe place.
