EcoSport compact SUV in changing a burnt out glove box light bulb or
upgrading it to a brighter LED unit. Owners of other Ford or Lincoln vehicles such as the Fiesta, B-Max, Escape, Edge, Bronco Sport, Explorer, Expedition, Transit, Focus, Mondeo, S-Max, Puma, Kuga, Endura, Everest, Ka, Figo, Endeavour, Aviator, Corsair, Nautilus and Navigator may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The compatible replacement miniature wedge base light bulb part number is W3W. If you'd like to have a brighter glove box light, install a W3W LED unit. No tools are required to access and replace the light bulb. You may need a flat head screwdriver or a pop rivet removal tool to help pop the old light bulb out of its socket. The first few steps are to sit in the front passenger seat, open the glove box and remove the contents. |

Once the glove box
and storage compartment have been removed, you'll be able to access the
light bulb housing. If the old light bulb was recently turned on, be careful when you remove it. The bulb might still be hot enough to burn your fingers. Pull the old light bulb straight out of the socket. If you have trouble removing the old light bulb, use a flat head screwdriver or a pop rivet removal tool to carefully pry the old bulb straight out of the socket. The OEM (original equipment manufacturer) light bulb in this 2020 EcoSport Titanium was marked as part number W3W. If you'd like to have a brighter glove box light that will also last much longer before burning out like the traditional incandescent bulb, install a compatible replacement W3W LED unit. |

Push In New Light Bulb |
Slide In Upper Shelf |
Slide the new light
bulb straight into the socket. The new light bulb should turn on immediately. If it doesn't turn on, try pressing the "Unlock" button on the key fob or turn the ignition switch to the "On / Accessory" position. Tip - If you installed an LED bulb and it doesn't work, remove it from the socket, rotate it 180 degrees and push it back into the socket. Some LED bulbs are "polarized" and will only work when the "+" positive and "-" negative electrical contacts are in the correct orientation. Slide the upper shelf compartment back into place. |
