This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the second generation 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 Ford EcoSport compact SUV in changing the front windshield window wiper blades.

Owners of other Ford or Lincoln vehicles such as the Fiesta, B-Max, Escape, Edge, Bronco Sport, Explorer, Expedition, Transit, Focus, Mondeo, S-Max, Puma, Kuga, Endura, Everest, Ka, Figo, Endeavour, Aviator, Corsair, Nautilus and Navigator may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The OEM (original equipment manufacturer) wiper blade sizes in inches are as follows: Driver Side 26" and Passenger Side 24".

A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers include the following: Bosch 26CA & Bosch 24CA, Trico 25-260 & Trico 25-240, Michelin 14626 & Michelin 14624, ANCO C-26-OE & ANCO C-24-OE, Trico 26-15B & Trico 24-15B and Valeo 604487 & Valeo 604486.

The only tool needed to remove the old wiper blades is either a flat head screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool.

The first step is to lift the wiper arm off the windshield until it remains in the raised position by itself.

Locate the small square black plastic release button near the end of the metal wiper arm.

Slide Bracket Out of Slot
Place a large towel or a piece of cardboard on the windshield to protect the window from being chipped, scratched or shattered just in case the wiper arm smacks down on to the glass while you are replacing the wiper blade.

Gently push in the square release tab with a flat head screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool.

Slide the plastic bracket at the center of the old wiper blade straight out of the metal slot at the end of the wiper arm.

Discard the old wiper blade.

I usually buy the Bosch 26CA and Bosch 24CA wiper blades since I've had great experiences with Bosch brand wiper blades in the past.

"Click" Blade Into Slot
Line up the plastic bracket on the new wiper blade with the slots on the wiper arm.

Slide the bracket into the slot.

You should feel or hear the wiper blade "click" securely into place.

Important - Make sure the square plastic button is in the up and locked position. When I first installed the new driver side wiper blade, the button did not pop up and the wiper blade was not secured to the wiper arm.

Test New Wiper Blades
Once the new wiper blade is securely attached to the wiper arm, carefully lower it back down to the windshield.

If you look closely at the last few pictures, you can see that my wiper blade was not fully locked to the wiper arm and the plastic button was still pushed down. Please double check to make sure the new wiper blades are secured!

For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the windshield and applying a window treatment product that will help repel water from the glass such as Rain-X.

Don't forget to write down the wiper blade change in your vehicle's service records.
