This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 2nd generation (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013)
Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in replacing a burnt out vanity mirror light bulb
in the sun visors. Owners of other General Motors vehicles such as the GMC Sierra, Terrain, Acadia, Yukon, Savana, Chevy Colorado, Avalanche, Express, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Volt, Malibu, Impala, SS, Camaro, Corvette, Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Encore, and Enclave may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement vanity mirror light bulb is part # 13502343 from ACDelco. Other compatible miniature "fuse" type bulbs include the # 6614F and TS-14V1CP. The only tool needed to replace the bulbs is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry out the translucent lens cover. |

To keep from scratching the plastic surfaces,
wrap the tip of the flathead screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth. Insert the blade of the screwdriver in between the translucent lens cover and the bulb housing before gently prying it out. Set the lens cover aside in a safe place. Either pull out the old bulb with your fingers or very carefully pry out the bulb at either of the metal end caps. Do not apply pressure to the glass part of the bulb or it may shatter. |
