This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 4th generation "JK" 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 Jeep Wrangler in replacing
or upgrading the two roll bar speakers. Owners of previous generation Wrangler vehicles such as the YJ (1987-1995), TJ (1997-2006) or other Jeep vehicles such as the Compass, Patriot, Liberty and Grand Cherokee may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The OEM roll bar speakers of a JK 07-12 Jeep Wrangler can be replaced with either 5.25" (5 1/4") or 6.5" (6 1/2") aftermarket speakers. Both sizes require a bracket to make them fit in the opening. I'd recommend purchasing new speakers from Amazon since you can verify which speakers will fit in your Jeep. |

Press the white
plastic release tab on the speaker's power connector and pull it straight
off. Attach the included wiring harness to the new aftermarket speaker and the vehicle's OEM power connector. Insert the bracket and new speaker into the housing on the roll bar, attach the speaker cover, and tighten the 3 Torx T-15 screws to secure it in place.
