| For years,
I've been noticing the State of Florida tourism sign for the Lakeridge
Winery on the Turnpike while traveling to and from Gainesville. We finally took the time to visit Lakeridge to go on their free winery tour and taste some of their wines. Now I wish we had done it years ago and repeatedly. The Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards are located at 19239 U.S. 27, Clermont, FL 34715. To reach the staff by phone, call (352) 394-8627. (Take exit 285 off the Florida Turnpike.) Visitors are welcome Mondays through Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM and on Sundays from 11 AM to 5 PM. The winery was opened in 1989 on 127 acres of land in Central Florida about twenty five miles west of downtown Orlando. |

The tour began with us watching a short video about the history of Florida's largest premium winery. Then the tour guide led us around while explaining the inner workings of the winery and vineyard. Our enjoyable visit concluded with a taste of several of their award winning wines. |

Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards produces over eighty thousand cases or almost a million bottles of wine per years. Some of the wines currently being produced include Chablis, Blanc Du Bois, Pink Crescendo, Cuvee Blanc, Cuvee Noir Reserve, Southern Red, Southern White, Stover Reserve, and Sunblush. |

| Each year, Lake Ridge Winery hosts a variety of events such as the Winter Music Series, Blues at the Winery, Winefest, Jazz on the Vineyard Green, the Annual Harvest Festival, the Summer Music Series, the August Stomp, Jazz at the Winery, the Vintage Venture, the Annual Holiday Open House, and the Annual Jazz, Wine & Seafood Festival. | ||
