This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the first generation (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & the
revised 2016 model year) Mazda CX-5 SUV in changing the rear wiper
blade on the back windshield window. Owners of other Mazda vehicles such as the Mazda 2, Mazda 3, Mazda 5, Mazda 6, CX-7, CX-9, and the MX-5 Miata may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The rear window wiper blade is 14" (inches) in size. A few compatible replacement wiper blades with their part numbers include the following: Trico 14-A, Anco AR-14A, Michelin 9514, Bosch H352 (3397011430), Silblade RB114-A, Ecogard XR14 and ACDelco 8-214A. No tools are needed to change the rear wiper blade. |

Line Up Bar & "C" Socket |
Pop Bar In To Socket |
Blade Parallel To Wiper Arm |
I recommend buying
the Trico 14-A rear wiper blade
since it has excellent reviews on Amazon. Line up the mounting bar in the center of the new wiper blade with the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. Firmly pop the mounting bar in to the socket while holding the wiper blade at an angle. Continue rotating the new wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. |

Lower Blade To Window |
Push On Plastic Cover |
Rear Wiper Blade Replaced |
Gently lower the
wiper blade down to the rear window. Replace the plastic cover by pushing it on to the base of the wiper arm. For the best wiper performance, thoroughly clean off the window and apply a glass treatment product such as Rain-X. For more,
