This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the third generation (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
and 2017) Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in changing the rear window
wiper blade on the back windshield. Owners of other Mitsubishi vehicles such as the Lancer, Outlander, Mirage, ASX, RVR, Galant, I-MIEV, Montero, Eclipse, 3000GT, Endeavor, Raider, Diamante, Attrage, Carisma, Colt, Grandis, Magna, Pajero and the Space Star may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The OEM rear wiper blade size in inches is 10". The part number is Mitsubishi 8253A093. One other compatible replacement 10" wiper blade part number is the Trico 10-B. No tools are needed to replace the rear wiper blade. |

The first step is
to lift the rear wiper arm off the back window until it remains in the
raised position by itself. Then rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm. Continuing rotating the wiper blade away from the wiper arm until you can pop the mounting bar in the center of the blade out of the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. Pull the old wiper blade off the wiper arm. |

Line up the new
wiper blade with the wiper arm. Orientate the rubber wiper blade so that it is pointing away from the back of the vehicle and towards the right (passenger) side. Pass the end of the wiper arm through the opening in the center of the new wiper blade. |

Rotate the new
wiper blade towards the wiper arm. Firmly snap the mounting bar at the center of the new wiper blade in to the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm. Double check that the new wiper blade is securely attached to the wiper arm. For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the back window and applying a glass treatment product that will repel water such as Rain-X. For more,
