Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Cube, Sentra, Altima, LEAF, Maxima, 370Z, Juke, Rogue, Murano, Xterra, Pathfinder, Quest, Frontier, Titan, QX56, Q50, G37, EX37, QX60, FX37, FX50 and QX80 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A replacement step courtesy light bulb is part number 194 from manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, Eiko and PIAA.

You may also choose to use any other miniature wedge base bulb such as the W5W, 168, 2825 or a brighter LED unit.

The only tool needed to replace the step courtesy bulb is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry out the light housing.

Disconnect Power Plug
Push Out Old Light Bulb
Old # 194 Bulb

You may choose to cover the tip of the flathead screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth to prevent from scratching the plastic surfaces.

Insert the blade of the small flathead screwdriver in between the rear edge of the step courtesy light housing and the door panel.

Gently pry out the housing and disconnect the power plug.

Be careful when you remove the old light bulb.

If it was recently turned on, it might still be hot enough to burn your fingers.

Carefully push the old bulb out of the socket with the small flathead screwdriver.

Push In New Bulb
Push In Power Connector
New Bulb Working
Push a new # 158, 168 or 194 miniature wedge base bulb straight in to the socket.

You can also use a brighter LED bulb.

Slide the power connector straight in to the socket until it clicks in to place.

The new bulb should illuminate immediately when you re-connect the power plug.
