Push Up Release Tab
The cabin air filter housing is located in the front passenger foot well behind the left kick panel.

Gently pull the kick panel straight off the center console to disengage the plastic pop rivet friction fasteners and set it aside in a safe place.

Push up the black plastic release tab at the lower edge of the rectangular shaped filter access cover.

Gently Insert New Filter
If the old filter is relatively clean, just tap out the large debris and remove any fine dust with a vacuum.

On the other hand, if the old filter is dark grey or black and clogged with dirt, dust, pollen, leaves, twigs, insects, hair or other debris, it should be replaced with a new element.

I recommend buying the TYC 800107P cabin air filter since it has excellent reviews on Amazon.

If the new filter has an "Air Flow" arrow, make sure it is pointing towards the rear of the vehicle.

Compress the new filter and carefully slide it in to the slot.
