Headlight Bulbs Replacement Guide
How to change a burnt out low beam, high
beam or turn signal bulb in the headlights of a 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue.

This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 1st generation (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, & 2013) Nissan
Rogue in changing a burnt out low beam, high beam or front turn
signal bulb in the headlight assemblies. Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Cube, Sentra, Altima, LEAF, Maxima, Juke, Murano, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, Quest, Frontier, Titan, 370Z, G37, M37, EX37, FX37, JX35, and QX56 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. Replacement headlight bulbs with their part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # 9005, and Front Turn Signal # 1157A. No tools are needed to change any of the bulbs on the passenger side. The driver side requires a small flathead screwdriver to remove the black plastic air intake. |

Pull Out Low Beam Bulb |
The first two steps
are to pop open the hood and move to the headlight assembly with the burnt
out bulb. The Low Beam bulb is located at the lower outer corner of the headlight below the turn signal. Reach in behind the headlight and rotate the black and green base of the low beam bulb 1/4 turn counter clockwise before pulling it straight out. |

Slide Off Power Connector |
Insert New H11 Bulb |
Pull up on the
black plastic release tab and slide the power plug straight off the base of
the bulb. Insert a new # H11 low beam bulb in to the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to lock it in place. Try to avoid touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or anything dirty in the engine bay. If you do get the bulb dirty, wipe it clean with an alcohol moistened paper towel. |

The High Beam bulb is located at the inner corner of the headlight housing. | ||

Pull Out Low Beam Bulb |
Push Down Release Button |
Reach in behind the
headlight housing and rotate the black base of the high beam bulb 1/4 turn
counter clockwise before pulling it straight out. Push down on the release tab and slide the power connector straight off the base of the bulb. |

Sylvania 9005 12V 60W |
Insert New 9005 Bulb |
Insert a new #
9005 high beam bulb in to the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to lock it
in place. Push the power connector straight on to the base of the new bulb until it clicks in to place. |

Turn Signal Bulb Socket |
The amber colored Turn Signal bulb is located at the top corner of the headlight housing. | ||

Pull Out Socket |
Press Down & 1/4 Turn CC |
Reach in behind the
headlight and rotate the light grey socket 1/4 turn counter clockwise before
pulling it straight out. Press the old bulb down in to the socket and rotate it 1/4 turn counter clockwise before pulling it straight out. Insert a new # 1157A bulb in to the socket, press it down, and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to lock it in place. Insert the socket back in to the headlight housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place. |

Pry Out Two Pop Rivets |
Test the new bulbs
by turning on the headlights, activating the hazard signals and flashing the
high beams. To replace the bulbs on the driver's side of the vehicle, you'll first have to remove the black plastic air intake. Pry out the two round pop rivet fasteners at the front of the air intake and the lift the back end of the intake out of the air box. For more,
