| This past
weekend on Saturday August 11th 2007, I took a drive down to the
Homestead-Miami Speedway where the PBOC Florida Motorsports Club was
holding their points races and drivers school.
I'm assuming that the PBOC acronym stands for Porsche & BMW Owners Club since the group began with only high performance vehicles from those two automotive manufacturers and other other German made sports cars. Nowadays the club is open to all makes
and models so any thrill seeking adrenaline junkie can enjoy a day at
the track. Some of the corporate sponsors of the PBOC include Foreign Affairs Motorsports, the Sports Car Driving Experience, and Gilbert Racing. |

| To get into the infield of the Homestead-Miami Speedway you have to drive all the way around to the Gate 18 entrance, stop at the guard gate, sign the liability waiver, and drive through the tunnel. Entrance to this PBOC event was free for spectators and there was plenty of parking. | ||

| Besides plenty of Porsches and BMW's there were also a nice variety of vehicles racing around the track such as an Audi TT, Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang GT, Steeda Mustang, Mini Cooper, Dodge Viper, Nissan 350Z, Mazda Miata, Subaru WRX and a Chrysler 300. | ||

| PBOC events are also held at other race tracks in the Southeast such as Moroso Motorsports Park in Jupiter, Sebring International Raceway in Highlands County Florida and Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham Alabama. | ||
