One of the
main reasons that we chose to visit Taveuni Island of
Fiji was to explore
the underwater world and examine the colorful aquatic life.
Although we only went on one Rainbow Reef Scuba Diving trip, we walked over to Prince Charles Beach and Maravu Beach to snorkel almost every day. Most days there seemed to be better visibility and a wider variety of fish to admire at Prince Charles Beach. The damage from the recent cyclone (hurricane) that battered Taveuni Island was evident in the small piles of dead coral we saw in the ocean and along the high tide line on the beaches. I took nearly a thousand underwater pictures during our visit and whittled them down to the 240 best images on these five gallery pages. |
