Gently Pry Off Bulb Cover
This automotive maintenance "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners of the XV40 generation (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011) Toyota Camry sedan in replacing a burnt out overhead dome light bulb.

Owners of other similar Toyota, Lexus or Scion vehicles such as the Corolla, Matrix, Yaris, Avalon, Venza, RAV4, FJ Cruiser, Highlander, 4Runner, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, Tacoma, Sienna, Aurion, IS 250, IS 350, ES 350, GS 350, LS 460, tC, xB, xD, iQ and may also find guide to be helpful.

A replacement bulb for the overhead dome light of a 2007 to 2011 Toyota Camry is part # DE3175 from various manufacturers including Sylvania, GE, Wagner, Eiko, Osram and PIAA.

You can also use a brighter DE3175 LED bulb.

The only tool needed to replace the dome light bulb is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry off the translucent lens cover.

Insert the blade of the small flathead screwdriver into one of the two notches located on the side of the lens cover that is closest to the On/Off switch.

Gently pry out the lens cover a bit and then move the screwdriver to the other notch to repeat the process.

Only minimal force should be needed to get the dome light lens cover to pop off.

Push in a new # DE3175 light bulb into the socket.

It's best to insert the right (passenger) side in first before sliding the other side of the light bulb in past the metal release tab.

You can also choose to install a brighter LED bulb. If the LED bulb doesn't work at first, try flipping it around in the socket.
