After examining it more closely, I saw that water was seeping out from the valve stem on the toilet&#8217;s water supply valve assembly. Turning the knob tighter didn&#8217;t fix the problem. Not counting the trip to Home Depot, the repair took about 30 minutes and $5 to complete.
