Headlight Bulbs Replacement Guide
How to change a burnt out low beam, high
beam, front turn signal or side marker bulb in a 2015 to 2018 Murano.

This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the third generation (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and probably
also the refreshed 2019 & 2020 model years) Nissan Murano SUV in
changing a burnt out low beam, high beam, front turn signal or side
marker light bulb in the headlight housings. Owners of other Nissan and Infiniti vehicles such as the Rogue, Pathfinder, Armada, Versa, Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Leaf, 370Z, GT-R, Frontier, Titan, NV200, Q50, Q70, Q60, QX30, QX50, QX60, QX70 and QX80 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The compatible replacement light bulb part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # H9, Front Turn Signal # 7444NA and Side Marker # 2825 (or "W5W"). The only tool you might need is to access the front turn signal light bulb on the passenger side is a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool to remove the wiper fluid filler tube. |

The first two steps
are to open the hood and then move to the side of the vehicle with the burnt
out headlight bulb. The low beam light bulb is located closer to the outer edge of the SUV. Reach in behind the headlight assembly and locate the base of the old low beam bulb. Push in the release tab on the black plastic electrical connector before sliding the power plug straight off the base of the old low beam bulb. |

Rotate the base of the old low beam light bulb 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction before pulling it straight out of the housing. | ||
Install New Low Beam Bulb |
1/4 Turn Clockwise - Lock |
Push On Power Plug |
Try to avoid
touching the glass part of the new halogen bulb with your fingers or
anything greasy in the engine bay. If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with a paper towel and some rubbing alcohol. Install the new number H11 low beam light bulb into the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction to secure it into place. Push the power plug straight on to the base of the new light bulb until it clicks securely into place. |

The high beam light
bulb is located closer to the middle of the headlight assembly. Reach in behind the headlight housing and locate the round grey plastic dust cover. |

Twist Off Counterclockwise |
Old High Beam Exposed |
1/4 Turn Counterclockwise |
Twist off the grey
plastic dust cap 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction before removing
it. Set the dust cover aside in a safe place. Rotate the base of the old high beam light bulb 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction. |

Remove Old High Beam |
Pull Back Retaining Clip |
Old High Beam Removed |
Pull the old high
beam bulb straight out of the housing. Gently pull back on the retaining clip and pull the electrical connector straight off the base of the old light bulb. |

Push On Power Plug |
Install New High Beam |
1/4 Turn Clockwise - Lock |
Avoid touching the

Turn Signal - Inner Corner |
Replace the grey
plastic dust cover by twisting it on 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction. The front turn signal light bulb is located near the inner edge of the housing. |

Windshield Washer Fluid Tube |
Pry Out Center of Fastener |
Remove Pop Rivet Fastener |
In order to access
the front turn signal bulb socket on the passenger side, you'll need to
remove the windshield washer fluid filler tube. Pry out the center of the round black plastic fastener to unlock it. Then pry out the base of the fastener to remove it. Set the fastener aside in a safe place. |

1/4 Turn Counterclockwise |
Pull the windshield
washer fluid filler tube straight out of the engine bay and set it aside in
a safe place. Rotate the base of the front turn signal bulb socket 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction before removing it. |

Turn Signal Socket Removed |
Pull Out Old Light Bulb |
Push In New Light Bulb |
Carefully pull the
old turn signal light bulb straight out of the socket. Push a new amber colored number 7444NA light bulb straight into the socket. |

Empty Bulb Housing |
1/4 Turn Clockwise - Lock |
Re-Insert Filler Tube |
Re-insert the bulb
socket into the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn in the clockwise direction to
secure it into place. Lower the windshield washer fluid filler hose back into the engine bay. |

Push Into Place |
Push In Friction Fastener |
Side Marker - Outer Edge |
Push on the filler
tube to secure it into the washer fluid tank. Re-insert the black plastic pop rivet and push in the center piece to secure it into place. The front side marker light bulb is located at the outer corner of the headlight assembly. |

Side Marker Bulb Socket |
1/4 Turn Counterclockwise |
Bulb Socket Removed |
Rotate the long black plastic side marker bulb socket 1/4 turn in the counterclockwise direction before pulling it straight out of the housing. | ||
Pull Out Old Light Bulb |
Push In New Light Bulb |
Empty Bulb Housing |
Pull the old light
bulb straight out of the socket. Push a new number 2825 (also known as "W5W") miniature wedge base light bulb straight into the socket. If you would like to have brighter front side marker lights, install some compatible 2825 LED bulbs. |

Test New Light Bulbs |
Testing High Beam Bulb |
Re-insert the side
marker bulb socket into the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn in the clockwise
direction to secure it into place. To test the new light bulbs, turn on the headlights, activate the hazard signals and flash the high beams. Be sure to record the bulb change in your vehicle's service records. For more,
