New Drones & Quadcopters @ CES 2016, Las Vegas, Nevada – Videos & Info

By far my favorite thing to see at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was all of the new toys, especially the drones (A.K.A. quadcopters, hexacopters and octocopters).

Just a few of the brands we saw while walking around Tech East at the LVCC (Las Vegas Convention Center) included Parrot, AEE, XCraft, DJI, EHang, Hubsan, ProDrone, Hexo+, TTRobotix, Walkera, Wingsland, ByRobot, Xiro, Micro Drone, Yuneec, Letv, Polaroid, Flyability, CoDrone, Mota, Bionic Bird, Lily Camera, Dream Qii, Syma and Skyrocket.

I’m most excited about the new features and developments in drone technology such as autonomous flight, object / collision avoidance, FLIR cameras (infrared heat vision), modular drones (easy to fix in the field) and the one person personal drone from Ehang!

If you want to browse all of my videos, click here – New Drones @ CES 2016.

Here are a few of my favorite drone videos from CES –

New 3D Printers @ CES 2016 In Las Vegas, Nevada – Videos

We were fortunate enough to attend the Consumer Electronics Show or “CES” this January 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. One of the highlights of the show was all of the awesome 3D Printers on display.

I loved seeing all of the different methods for 3D printing including selective laser melting (SLM), selective laser sintering (SLS), fused filament fabrication (FFF) and also fused deposition modeling (FDM).

Some of the 3D Printer manufacturers we saw at CES 2016 included EnvisionTec, FormLabs, Lulzbot, Weistek, MiniToy, Robo R1, 3D Star, Altair, FabPob, Dremel, GlowForge and Flux.

A lot of the 3D printed items on display were toys, custom cell phone cases or little statues, but we also saw thing like dentures, dental implants and even custom superhero figures with your face on the doll. 🙂

I’m hoping that one day I’ll be able to get an affordable 3D printer and print my own replacement parts for things like my R/C car, quadcopter (drone) or dog toys rather than having to wait days for it to be shipped to me.

Check out my videos of the 3D printers at CES 2016 below. Enjoy!
