Our membership to the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens down in Coral Gables, a suburb of Miami, gets us in for free to another park known as Flamingo Gardens which is located in Davie Florida. It is a wildlife sanctuary for injured Everglades animals and also features the Wray Botanical Collection.

Some friends went to South Korea to visit family and sent me a few of their vacation pictures. They checked out the capital city of Seoul, Mount Sorak, the ancient Shilla Dynasty City of Kyeongju, Cheju (Jeju) Island, and Pusan (a.k.a. Busan).

I drove by the Ikea store that is being built in Sunrise recently to check out the progress. They say it should open in “Fall of 2007” but there still seems to be a lot of work to be done. These pictures were taken in late August of 2007. Lots of South Florida home furnishings shopper are anxiously awaiting the grand opening of this new Ikea store.
