River State Park is located at 15402 U.S. 301 North, Thonotosassa, FL
33592. To reach the park office by phone, call (813) 987-6771. Visitors
are welcome from 8 AM to sunset every day of the year. We visited this park to rent a canoe and take a ride down the Hillsborough River. Along the way we saw several Florida Alligators, herons, turtles, and other wildlife. The park's entrance fees are $6 per vehicle (2-8 people), $4 for single occupant vehicles or motorcycles, and $2 for pedestrians or bicyclists. Some of Hillsborough River State Park's features include seven miles of nature trails, camping areas, the "Spirit of the Woods" cafe, bicycle and canoe rentals, the Fort Foster replica, and a ADA accessible swimming pool. |
