Broadway
Avenue Theater District - New York City, NY
Pictures & visitor information from a
visit to the theater district of New York City on Broadway Ave near Times
Square.
During our
most recent visit to New York City
or "NYC", a friend took us to see a musical in the
theater district on Broadway Avenue. He happened to be a big fan of the Monty Python British comedy group, so the show we saw was "Monty Python's Spamalot" being performed at the Shubert Theatre. We walked around the Broadway area before the show, and as usual, I was snapping pictures of the sights. Some of the other musicals that were being featured at the time besides Spamalot included Gypsy with Patti Lupone, Jersey Boys, Xanadu with Helen Hayes, A Catered Affair, Ecstasy, Wicked, The Little Mermaid, Hair, and The Pajama Game. After thoroughly enjoying the Spamalot show, we walked over to Times Square to admire the lights and "supersigns". |
