Metropolitan Museum of Art or just "The Met" for short, is located
inside Central Park on the eastern edge between 85th street and 79th
street in New York City. Inside the quarter mile long building's over two million square feet of space there are about two million works of art split up into nineteen departments. Visitors are welcome at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 9 PM and on Sundays from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The museum is closed on Mondays except for public holidays. The museum's address is 1000 5th Ave at 82nd St, Manhattan, New York City, NY 10028.
