| Seeing the
Panama Canal is on the "must do" list of every tourist visiting
Panama
City. A trip to the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center was part of the Panama City Tour that we took with "Your Man In Panama" tours. Since I took so many pictures during our visit to the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center, I split them up into two parts. This page covers just the Miraflores Locks and the Maersk Panamax cargo ship that happened to be passing through during our visit. The other photos are in my Panama Canal Museum gallery. The Miraflores Locks Visitor Center is located about 15 to 20 minutes away from downtown Panama City. |

| Admission tickets can be purchased at the ticket office from 9 AM to 4:30 PM every day of the week including holidays. Visitors are welcome in the exhibition halls, the gift shop, the snack bars, the observation decks and the museum from 9 AM to 5 PM. Residents of Panama get in for reduced rates or free depending on the package. The cost for non-resident adults is $8, $5 for minors and free for children under 5 years of age.
